Canadian tennis player blackens referee’s eye, gets disqualified

Great Britain won 3-2 in Davis Cup qualifying against Canada, after a strange event in match Kyle Edmund and Denis Shapovalov.

When the game was 2-0 for Britain, the young Canadian had left nerves and forcefully hit a ball that hit the main arbiter in the face, Arnaud Gabas.

Although the footage appears to have been unintentionally shot, the referee disqualified Shapovalovin and gave Great Britain a crucial point.
