Federer in the final of Australian Open ,aims the 18th Grand Slam title

 

Swiss tennis player Roger Federer in a dramatic match in five sets, has defeated his opponent, compatriot Stanislas Wawrinka to secure himself in the final qualification tournament Grand Slam, the Australian Open, AA reported.

It seemed an easy match for Federer who advanced the first two sets with the score 2: 0, while “time out is” required by Wawrinka on the eve of the third set because of an injury, confirmed these allegations.

The holidays proved to be fruitful for Wawrinka who won the next two sets to level the digits 2: 2, bringing the Metz final in the fifth set in which, however, turned 35-year-old Federer winning.

Final score 7-5, 6-3, 1-6, 4-6 and 6-3 Federer assured himself the Australian Open final in which they will aim 18th title in Grand Slam history.

His opponent will be known after the second semi-final on Friday which will meet Rafael Nadal and Grigor Dimitrov.
